League leaders Alloa travel to bottom club Clyde. |
| |
Alloa are on a great run of form at the moment. Firstly for some bizarre reason some sites have Alloa's last result |
| |
down as a 2-1 defeat to Peterhead on Saturday afternoon but it was actually a 2-1 win to Alloa, there was some kind |
| |
of media mix up over the result and some sites have still not updated the result. |
| |
That victory on Saturday was Alloa's 7th win in 8 games and they are on a fantastic run of results. |
| |
| |
They sit top of the league and clear by 5 points although 2nd placed Stirling have 4 games in hand, so Alloa know |
| |
they need to keep the pressure on by simply keep winning games which they have been doing. |
| |
Alloa have lost just 2 away games and have been performing better on the road than in front of their home fans. |
| |
Away from home they conceded just 8 goals and have failed to find the net in only 2 games. They are unbeaten in |
| |
their last 6 away games winning 3 and drawing 3. |
| |
Alloa have one of the leagues top goal scorers in Stuart Noble who opened the scoring in Saturdays game and is in |
| |
great form scoring 5 in his previous 4 appearances. |
| |
| |
Clyde sit bottom of the table with just 15 points from 20 games. They are on a very poor run of form and have won |
| |
just 3 of their 10 home games this season losing the other 7. Clyde have lost their last 5 games in a row and have |
| |
had just 1 win in their last 13 matches |
| |
They have also not managed to find the net at all in any of their last 4 league games. |
| |
In Clyde's last 6 home games they have lost 5 whilst winning 1 which was a 1-0 victory over fellow league struggler's |
| |
Arbroath. In these 6 home games they only managed 3 goals whilst conceding 12. |
| |
Overall Clyde have managed a measly 6 goals in front of their paying home fans all season. |
| |
Things look likely to get worse for Clyde, who's confidence and morale must be at rock bottom currently, when high |
| |
flying Alloa come to town on Tuesday night and I fully expect Alloa's great run of form to continue. |
