Tracking your bets is essential! It changes the way you gamble. Whenever I’ve tracked my bets, profit has followed.
Bettin.gs is the website I use to track my bets. I pay the $12 monthly free and whilst it does feel like I’m spending some of my winnings, the time it saves me, compared to using a spreadsheet is worth the investment.
Using the site is very simple. Events are stored in their database so once you start typing, options will appear and you can select the match or tournament your bet comes from.
Assuming the event is in their system, the selection works in the same way, simply start typing and the options will appear. If you are betting on smaller markets like player shots you will need to enter the selection in full yourself.
Then simply select the bookmaker, enter your stake, input the odds and if necessary, select which tipster posted that tip.
Once a bet has finished you have the option of settling the result as a Win, Loss, Push, Void, Half Win and Half Loss.
You’ll see you overall stats appear at the top of the page. You can make your profile private, something I’ve done as I follow paid services.
The stats section is where bettin.gs really proves it’s worth. You can quickly see the stats for each individual tipster you follow. If you were using a spreadsheet this is something that would involve additional work.
You can see which sports are proving profitable and compare your stats from each bookmaker. When settling results I simply filter my bets by bookmaker and status “New”. I can then compare my open bets with my bookmaker account to see which bets have won or lost, this also allows me to check bets have been settled correctly.
The only problem I encounter at the moment is EW bets. There used to be an option to add EW bets but this seems to have gone. It does cause problems when settling results. But I know they are working on an update which is expected soon, so I’ll wait and see what happens.
