After such a great week for tipsters and punters 7 days ago, it all went a little Pete Tong on Sunday. Two big names landed the spoils but that doesn’t always mean tipsters are left cashing in their bet slips.
The biggest let down came in Joburg Open where Thriston Lawrence went into the final round with a 3 shot lead. He was one of the most popular selections pre tournament and a strong fancy with 18 holes to play, 8/11 on the exchange.
Not only did he fail to win but Lawrence finished 7 shots behind eventual winner Dean Burmester.
Of the golf tipsters listed here at Betting Kingdom not a single one put up the big hitting South African. You can see why. He’d not teed it up since the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and that entry ended in a Withdrawal. It’s difficult to put faith in a golfer who might not be fully fit.
I have to give SkyHookDFS a shout out as he tipped Rama at a massive 1000/1. He eventually finished solo 6th for a full each way out and landed top 10 and top 20 returns. What a tip!
It’s a full place from 1000/1 Nikhil Rama, finishing solo 6th and paying out at 200/1 ✅
He cashed the T10/20 with ease and he was just an absolute joy to watch!
Luck placed in Aussie as well ✅ https://t.co/VbsdkP9yXI

With the PGA Tour taking a break, some of the big names headed down under for the Australian PGA Championship. Tournament favourite Cam Smith had a shocker and it left the door open for Min Woo Lee.
Always a popular character, he was somewhat dismissed ahead of this event, I can only assume the odds didn’t really appeal.
Two tipsters that did put their faith in the Tik Tok sensation (he’s not a bad golfer either) were The Caddy and SJP Golf Tips.
I think in summary it’s fair to say that this was a week for the bookmakers. For me personally it might teach me that the Win Only approach isn’t always the best one to adopt, but with the bigger prices dangled on the exchange it’s one I can’t resist trialling for a bit longer at least.
There are 3 events to enjoy this week. As we freeze are nuts off here in the UK, the golfing circus heads to warmer climates with the Australian Open, the South African Open and the Hero Challenge all taking place.
Good luck to all golf tipsters and punters for the week ahead.
