Louis Oosthuizen lined the coffers of Ben Coley followers 7 days ago when he landed the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek having starting the week at 16/1.
Coley and the rest of the golf betting community decided that his price to land back to back titles was simply too short in Mauritius.
That may have been the case but sadly Louis had different ideas and he showcased his class my walking away with his second title in the space of 7 days.
Favourites normally result in big losses for the bookmakers but I’m not sure that’s the case on the golf. I think the Twitter golf tipster community plays a big part in how the bookies do from one week to the next.
So the fact no-one kept the faith in Oosthuizen would suggest the year ended on a high for the wrong side. I’m sure it was just a dent in the profit for those who have put their faith in the best golf tipsters.
It’s a good thing that golf traders offer us punters more opportunities these days. Michael Golf capped off a ridiculous year with landing a 40/1 winner on the PNC Championship with Team Langer.
What I can’t work out is how betting on an event where children are involved is even allowed? I’m sorry but how is that right? A topic for another day perhaps.
That wasn’t the only big priced winner I came across as Craig Edwards landed a 50/1 winner on Denwit Boriboonsub. That’s a pretty cool name right?
Now it’s my job to go through the final profit & loss for the season and update the golf tipster rankings here at Betting Kingdom. It’s been a while since I’ve done that so I will be interested to share my findings and who climbs that list and those that will fall.
Thank you as always for reading and best of luck to all golf tipsters and punters heading into 2024.
