Who shoots 62 around Riveira? Let alone on a Sunday afternoon with the World watching. Hideki Matsuyama that’s who! Crazy to think the 2021 US Masters champion was 80/1 at the start of the week.

Several of the top tipsters looked beyond his lack of Top 10 finish since Sawgrass 9 months ago and put the Japanese World Number 20 in their selections for the week.

Among those was highly rated tipster Matt Vincenzi who snapped up some early 80s. In his weekly preview Matt wrote….

“In the past, Matsuyama has played great at Riviera, however the results haven’t been as strong in the past three seasons. He has finishes of 4th (2015), 9th (2019) and 5th (2020), so he clearly has an eye for the layout.

Matsuyama is great with his long irons and is always one of the best players around the green, which are two of the most important factors at Riv. If Matsuyama can keep his driver in play, I think he will be around over the weekend.”

It cements Matt’s place as one of the top golf tipsters and why he sits right near the top of the Betting Kingdom rankings.

Craig Edwards was another tipster to land a big payout for his members, putting up Hideki at 75/1 pre tournament. What was even more impressive was he’d picked runner up Will Zalatoris at 66/1 as well.

A great week for Craig and his loyal followers. Not so much for the bookmakers it would seem.

ConsBets also deserves a shout out. He was a golf tipster here at Betting Kingdom back in the day and I was always impressed with the amount of research he put into his selections.
