I really should stop betting on the match result market. Teams can dominate a game and still come out on the wrong end of the score line. Shanking in a comical own goal doesn’t help, especially 8 minutes into a match, when your team are tipped to win the title and 1-0 down at home already.
ÂŁ35 quid into Dee’s pocked. Bollocks! We take it on the chin and move on. Back to square one.
I didn’t spent a lot of time researching this evenings live Championship game between Luton v Burnley. In fact I’ve still only considered one selection, that of Jake Osgathorpe on his Sporting Life post.
He’s one of my favourite tipsters and the fact it was Luton corners I decided not to look elsewhere. I remember listening to Lewis Jones get excited about Luton corners last season and that was enough to convince me this was the bet for me today.
Luton Over 5.5 Corners is the play. They average 6.5 at home last season and that was in the Premier League.
In their promotion winning Championship campaign they averaged 7 corners per game at Kenilworth Road. Their 3-5-2 formation with attacking full backs, putting in lots of crosses is the reason for these high numbers.
In their two meetings against Burnley last season in the Championship they accumulated 6 and 8 corners.
Credit to my man Jake Ozz for all those stats.
What more do you need to know? SpreadEx have kindly offered me a ÂŁ5 free bet. Basically because I’ve not bet with them for a while and they are trying to lure me back. Fair enough.
The same bet is 1.66 with Unibet and 1.72 with Dee, so I’m happy to invest my small bonus at odds of 1.83 on Luton swinging in 6 or more corners tonight against Burnley.
Bet: Luton Over 5.5 Corners v Burnley – 0.5pts @ 1.83
