It appears we are in for a stunning second half of the Premier league season, as it continues to remain as open as can be remembered, with a large number of teams still within just a couple of points at the top of the table. Amazingly enough, you could potentially say that all the sides in the top half of the table are still in contention, with West Ham, Aston Villa and Southampton also proving much improved this season. Everton are currently one of the in-form sides and produced a very impressive December, which has seen them climb back up the table. They will now be hopeful of continuing this and having a real push at Champions league qualification.
Manchester City now finally appear to have turned a corner and are playing some breath-taking football. It has seen them climb back up the table and has also seen them now back into favourites for the title.
