It appears we are in for a stunning second half of the Premier league season, as it continues to remain as open as can be remembered, with a large number of teams still within just a couple of points at the top of the table. This has led to odds continued to change at the top of the markets for the title and for European football qualification. This is a stark contrast to recent seasons, where we saw both Liverpool and Manchester City completely dominate and finish miles clear of any other side. The same was expected for the current campaign but this has proven not to be the case, with many surprise results already having been seen. So, with this being the case, here we cover the sides that still remain in the hunt at the top of the table.
Amazingly enough, you could potentially say that all the sides in the top half of the table are still in contention, with West Ham, Aston Villa and Southampton also proving much improved this season. Big things were also expected of Chelsea this season, but they have slipped in form and this has resulted in them dropping out on contention at this stage. Everton are currently one of the in-form sides and produced a very impressive December, which has seen them climb back up the table. They will now be hopeful of continuing this and having a real push at Champions league qualification.
Manchester City now finally appear to have turned a corner and are playing some breath-taking football. It has seen them climb back up the table and has also seen them now back into favourites for the title. Punters have also been latching onto this and have been using the 888sport promo code to support City for the title. This includes putting a £10 on and then receiving £30 in free bets upon sign-up. If they can continue this, then they are clearly the team to beat. Tottenham are also in the hunt and have been much improved under Mourinho this season, which has also seen them qualify for the EFL Cup final in April. Tottenham have also come in for support for the title and will be expecting to finish in the top four come the end of the season.
Leicester City are now showing they are one of the top sides in the league and have continued to produce, each season. They just finished out of the top four last season, following a very poor finish to the campaign. Leicester have returned to some solid form and are another side who will be expecting a top four finish and could yet push for the title. Manchester United are surprisingly battling it out the top, despite making a very poor start to the season. Could we finally see them return to winning a Premier league title, as they are now a really tough side to beat and continue to pick up results. Finally, the defending champions Liverpool and again producing this season and are short odds for the title. They are not producing to the level of last season, but it could still be enough, as they remain at the top of the table.
