It doesn’t seem that long ago that the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 at Super Bowl LIV. All 32 teams’ preparations for the 2020/21 season are currently well underway.
Now is a good time to start looking at some regular season and Super Bowl bets ahead of the new campaign. Here are some tips which can hopefully help you find some winning selections.
Baltimore Ravens to Win Super Bowl LV @ 13/2
The Baltimore Ravens had their best-ever regular season last year, finishing the campaign at 14-2. This was enough to see them win the AFC North title and seal the number one seed in the AFC Conference going into the playoffs.
Unfortunately for fans of the Ravens, their dream of a third Super Bowl title as a franchise were dashed by the Tennessee Titans as they were beaten 28-12 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
That defeat in the divisional round of the playoffs back in January was a big surprise, but it should not put you off backing the Ravens this season. Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson has proved he is capable of leading them to the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Jackson threw for 3,127 yards and rushed for 1,206 yards last season. He scored 43 all-purpose touchdowns in what was an incredible year. As impressive as the Ravens were, they are not just a one-man-band. They were the number three ranked defence and number one ranked offense in 2019. Jump forward to 2020, and the Ravens are 13/2 with Betway to win Super Bowl LV, and, given they have retained many of their leading assets, they should be backed to go all the way this time around. They will be eager to avoid making the same mistakes they made in 2019.
Dallas Cowboys to Win NFC East @ Evens
The Dallas Cowboys go into a new era this season as it will be Mick McCarthy’s first season as the head coach, replacing Jason Garrett who spent eight years in the role.
McCarthy is a Super Bowl winner who has a lot of experience in the NFL so it is easy to see why Jerry Jones wasted no time in securing his services. The Cowboys have a strong roster that is capable of big things. The Cowboys ranked very highly in a lot of offensive statistics last season, including in passing yards where they were second of the 32 teams with 4,751 yards. They should once again score heavily in 2020 as Dak Prescott has signed a franchise tag to ensure he remains in Dallas for at least another year.
Philadelphia were crowned NFC East champions in 2019 but, as you can see from the NFL results across the divisions at Betting Kingdom, there has been no repeat winner in this division in 15 years so the Eagles will need to break that trend to lift the title again.
Now the Cowboys have a head coach who can help them fulfil their potential, they are a good bet at evens in the American football betting to win the NFC East in what would be their third success over the last five years.
Tennessee Titans to Win AFC South @ 13/8
Tennessee Titans won five of their last seven matches in 2019 to qualify into the off-season, with impressive wins coming over the Chiefs, Texans, and Colts. They also proved how dangerous they are when they eliminated the Ravens from the playoffs.
Head coach Mike Vrabel will be hoping his side build on their success of last season when they return to action. If they do carry the momentum they had at the back end of last year, they should be the team to beat in the AFC South.
The Titans have some very dangerous weapons on offense. None more so than running back Derrick Henry. The Alabama graduate had 1,540 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in 2019 in an impressive campaign. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill also looks to have found a home that suits him. The 32-year-old had the best season of his professional career in the NFL last season as he ended it with a passing rating of 117.5.
The bookies suggest the AFC South is wide open, so at 13/8, the Titans represent one of the best division bets in 2020. Good luck with all your wagers and hopefully it proves to be a profitable season for you when the campaign is wrapped up.
