4 winners in a row on the darts. Thanks for Anon Darts Bets, Sean Rafferty and James Punt for those tips.
It’s Anon who I am following today as he’s put up a 3 pointer as a free selection. His model priced this up at 1.43, Dee is offering 1.8. I’m keen to take advantage so have gone 2pts myself.
Here’s hoping the good run on the arrows continues. Nothing else from me today I’m afraid as tied up elsewhere (not literally).
2pts – Toylo +0.5 180s v Veenstra – 1.8
Up until this point it’s been the big priced outsiders from Jimmy the Punt that has tempted me in, and it’s proved lucrative.
But it’s one of his shorter priced tips, I say shorter, it’s still nearly 3/1, that has lured me in this week.
Atletico Madrid have won 11 games on the spin and face a Barcelona side missing their key player, Yamal.
With the youngster in the team Barcelona have a 12-1-1 record in La Liga. With him missing they are 0-1-3. Case closed. Dee among those offering the best odds.
1pt – Atletico Madrid to beat Barcelona @ 3.9
I almost feel spoilt for choice when reading Jake Osgathorpe’s column in the SportingLife, but picking the right bet is not always easy. You could always back them all, but that’s not the idea here behind my Best Bets feature.
The one I’ve opted for eventually is Lucic to be carded v Southampton and I was influenced by how much shorter his odds are with other bookmakers.
Yes it’s Kambi offering the top price, but they do have a number of bookmaker clients so if you are willing to shop around, you should be able to get these odds.
Lucic has already been booked 6 times this season and will be up against the brilliant Dibling who is drawing 3.19 fouls per 90. The referee appointment is also a good one with Tim Robinson (5.67 cards per game) taking charge.
1.5pts – Lucic to be carded v Southampton – 4.6 @ Live Score Bet
It’s the Sydney derby in the Big Bash tomorrow morning and a contest which has been one sided in recent years is being priced up as a coin toss by the bookmakers. Ed Hawkins doesn’t agree.
He thinks the Sixers are value here to make it 6 wins on the spin against their local rivals. He puts the mistake down partly to the “Warner factor”. I’m not quite sure what that means other than the fact Warner’s presence means their price is wrong??
They also took advantage of some horrific bowling at the death by Lloyd Pope in their first game so don’t read too much into that win.
Ed Hawkins is a quality tipster, consistently returning a profit in his Betfair Blog so I’m always happy to back one of his selections. The price is available at most bookies although if you bet on the exchange you’ll get bigger odds.
1pt – Sixers to beat Thunder @ 1.91
Lewis Jones new favourite player and the odds look great here. Kulusevski has been in superb form scoring in his last 4 matches on the spin.
He’s scored 8 in total this season for club and country. In 17 of his last 19 matches he’s had a shot on target.
I’ve not shopped around much for the best price but Dee was best odds for Anytime Goalscorer and offering better than what Lewis tipped on the Betfair podcast.
1.75pts – Kulusevski Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 2.25
0.75pts – Kulusevski Anytime Goalscorer @ 5.0
Another outright selection. A long wait for this to be settled but it might just be worth it. He’s 33/1 across the board, Kambi Sports are offering 70/1 (was 80/1 when Mr.Schooler tipped him).
That could be huge if Berrettini stays injury free and arrives at SW19 in top form. He loves the grass, boasting a 42-11 record on the surface, with 4 ATP Tour Titles and a runner up finish at Wimbledon.
Tennis is changing eras now with the Top 4 all but gone. These Grand Slams could be shared out a lot more over the next 5 or 6 years. Hopefully the Italian lands his debut major title next season at a very generous price.
0.25pts Matteo Berrettini to win Wimbledon 2025 – 70/1 @ Live Score Bet
I do like a big priced outright bet and Lewis Jones certainly seems to have a crystal ball right now with his brilliant timed prediction of Man City’s demise.
That’s partly the reason for this bet as Haaland has struggled with City’s poor form, scoring just 3 goals in his last 11 games. Salah is alongside him at the top of the charts but his contract has yet to be settled so you just never know what could happen there.
The man in form right now is Newcastle centre forward Alexander Isak, banging in 7 goals in his last 8 games. If this up turn in fortunes continues then 40/1 could look big in the New Year. He’s currently 6 behind though so has some work to do, hence the low stake.
0.25pts Alexander Isak Top Premier League Goalscorer – 40/1
I can’t be backing Littler or Humphries at the prices but I do fancy a small wager on this pick from Chris Hammer at SportingLife. Chris Dobey has come to life at Ally Pally in recent seasons reaching the Quarter Finals in each of the past two seasons.
He actually ended the tournament last year with a higher overall average than the winner Luke Humphries. In wins over Michael Smith (105.43), Ross Smith (102.36) and William O’Connor (103.69) he looked like a winner in the making.
At 4-0 up in the Quarter Final against Rob Cross he must have been dreaming on getting his hands on the trophy. Then it all went to shit.
What I like about this bet this year is the two tournament favourites Little and Humphries are in the other half of the draw to Dobey. His Quarter looks open with Michael Smith and Gerwyn Price both coming into this event below their best.
In fact in the Quarter Dobey has the highest average and best 180 ratio in this section. Not to mention his 3 titles in 2024.
0.5pts EW (1pt) Chris Dobey to win the PDC World Championship – 40/1

ABOUT BEST BETS
I love to gamble. The notion that we can win money betting on sport without having to do any real work, is fucking brilliant. Granted that’s easier said than done and the majority of punters don’t win, but I’m in a pretty privileged position.
I’m talking about having access to some of the best tipsters online, paid and free, many who have kindly offered to allow me to share their selections on this site.
My plan is to be selective and only place a few bets each day. But I will be keeping any eye on the top tipsters, reading plenty of previews and picking my favourite selections.
I’ll keep track of my own profit and loss, to keep you informed of how successful this approach has been. Some days I won’t have any bets and that could be due to the lack of sport on, or simply because I don’t have the time to post.
I’m hoping this best bets page will help you find some real gems and some excellent value selections. Hopefully you’ll enjoy following my progress too and perhaps even look forward to reading my posts.
A big thank you to all the tipsters who have given me access to their tips. Without that this best bets feature would have never even taken off, so I’m very grateful for them letting me share the occasional pick from their channel.
Good luck with your own betting and hopefully together we can make a small profit and beat the bookmakers. After all, that’s why we gamble isn’t it?
