Today it’s the turn of Sean Rafferty. He’s posted a whole host of bets on his Telegram page but for me this was my favourite. Sean is clearly a great tipster but it can be a bit disappointing that tips don’t come with any insight, so unless you’ve got that knowledge on darts, you either have to follow all his tips, or none at all.

Luckily I love the arrows as was so impressed with Peter Wright last time out I just have to get involved here. He bullied the World Champion, and made him crumble on the stage. It was so impressive. He definitely means business.

His recent record against Bunting is excellent with 15 wins in their last 21 encounters. He won their last 2 meetings in a final leg decider and if this does go to the wire I know who I’d rather back to hit that key double.

Ben Coley and Matt Vincenzi have both tipped Bhatia this week although both put him up at bigger odds than are now available. Has the value gone? Is he still worth backing? There often lies the most difficult questions for punters.

It’s the nature of the game. If the top tipsters put up a confidence selection, the price will inevitable shorten. If we are always backing tips at lower odds, we might still lose money following the best tipsters.

All you can really do is take each selection on it’s own merit and decide whether you still want to back it or not. In this case, value or no value I did want some interest in this event for my own personal enjoyment, so Bhatia is the player I will be following.

He’s had some good recent form, 2nd in the Dunlop Phoenix, 3rd in the Grant Thornton pairs event and 4th in the Hero Challenge where he gained nearly 5 strokes in his approach play. He also ranks 1st on slow Bermuda greens in this field which is a nice stat from Matt

The two events he’s won on the PGA Tour were low scoring affairs and that is always the case at Kapalua. On his only previous visit here he was 2nd going into the final round.

If the outright price shortens, sometimes it’s best to play the smaller markets and that’s what I am doing here. 7.5 looks decent given his outright price has shorten to 28/1 at most bookies.
