I decided against my instincts the other day when fancying Garin to beat Coric. Mainly cos the initial price Andy Schooler tipped had been cut. My instincts are telling me Musetti is a good play here and luckily on this occasion the price has drifted.
Often seen as clay courter the Italian has produced some very good tennis across different surfaces and actually won the Junior Australian Open before turning professional.
He played some good tennis on this surface towards the back end of 2024 including a run to the final in Chengdu.
Musetti leads the H2H 1-0 and won 4 of his 6 matches against left handers last year. Shapovalov appears to be improving but continues to struggle with his 2nd serve, tallying up 15 double faults in his first round win over Bautista Agut.
