This is a useful tool which I stumbled upon on the AceOdds platform. The site offers a number of different odds calculators to help you work out your returns.
The only feature I use is the Odds Converter but it’s been open more frequently on my desktop in recent days.
What does the Odds Converter do? It’s simple. It allows you to convert odds from one format to another.
Different tipsters might use a different formats for their odds. Some use fractions, other decimals and those the other side of the pond will confuse matters even further with their American odds.
I’m a decimal man myself. In recent days I’ve started following tennis tipster Kenny Ducey who uses American odds instead. So I simply load up the Odds Converter, enter the American Odds and it will convert it into decimals.
This means I know what price I’m looking for when I head over to oddschecker to compare the odds from the leading bookmakers.
The Odds Converter will also display the odds as a fraction and highlight the implied probability of that bet winning.
That alone makes you think. Stop backing tips at 1.8 assuming they are going to win as the implied probability is just 55.6%. That’s made you think.
