Having taken some time out to do some market research in recent weeks and weigh up the potential obstacles of a well run tipster comparison site I’ve decided it’s just not viable.

I was excited about the idea and really felt there was a gap in the market. But sometimes you have to ask the question, if it’s not been done already, why not?

I think I’ve come to understand the answers to that questions. The tipster market is an impossible one to regulate. Whilst the majority of tipsters are genuine, sadly the gambling industry is one driven by greed.

It only takes a small handful of tipsters to manipulate the odd tip and you end up with inaccurate results and presenting false information to your client base.

It’s also very hard when so many tipsters choose not to accurately track their own results. If you come across a tipster who refuses to spend a few minutes a day keeping track of their bets then DO NOT FOLLOW THEM. There is generally a reason why they won’t.

There are a lot of successful tipsters out there. Genuine ones who are worth following. But ultimately the bookmakers make our lives as punters incredibly difficult. So matching any tipsters profit is very tricky.

Being a shrewd punter in this day and age is incredibly frustrating. Bookmakers have it in their power to wipe out a tipster at any moment simply by following their selections and cutting the prices instantly. I’ve seen it happen.

Betting Kingdom was first established in 2003 and evolved from a betting guide to a tipster competition. Sadly it seems the time has come for me to move onto something new.

That said, such were the results of my own tips at the back end of 2022, I intend to spend up to 10 hours a week sharing my own selections on here for free.

If the site were to pick up again, and punters showed their support by opening new bookmaker accounts using the links on this site then that time commitment could increase.

But for now I think I will turn my attention to a new project, away from this industry, whilst still offering some free tips in my spare time.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the tipsters who have kindly given me free access to their tips. You can remove me now. Such are my own bookmaker limitations it’s just not worth me betting anymore.

I’d also like to apologise to those tipsters for wasting any of your time. It truly was my attention to make this latest project work but sadly it wasn’t to be.
