Whether or not you’re starting with a brick and mortar casino, an online casino or you’re going for the best of both worlds with a live casino experience, there are a few pro-tips for these games that can help you fit in and get the most out of your gambling experience. You may have heard some of these before but let’s give you a rundown of the games.
Blackjack
OK, so Blackjack is understandably incredibly popular. It’s simple and has a really low house edge so, as long as you use proper strategy, you have a really good chance of leaving up. The house edge being the inbuilt advantage the casino has over the players so they’re unlikely to go out of business. The goal of Blackjack is to get a better hand than the dealer without going over 21, but you can only see one of the dealer’s cards showing when you start. Generally, casinos will advise dealers to stand on a hard 17 (a ten and a seven as opposed to an ace and a six) which isn’t bad advice for a player either. To really excel at Blackjack, look up the basic strategy chart and play from there!
Roulette
Another classic with a slightly more advanced betting system. While you only had to put money in and then play a hand to do Blackjack, you need to place your chips on certain results in roulette. The most common play is simply red or black which is nearly a 50:50 chance and pays out a modest amount. To make a serious return you need to place riskier bets, either with a single number or a batch like the first 12 numbers. The higher the risk and more precise the choice, the more you’ll receive in pay out. Once you’ve got used to spinning the wheel, it’s time to get a bit more complicated.
Craps
A little more complicated, Craps involves one person (a shooter) throwing the dice and others on the table betting on the result. There are a lot of ways you can bet which makes Craps a fairly complex game but the total amount of results is smaller than roulette which may make it easier to work out probabilities. Like roulette, starting with a Pass/Don’t pass bet will keep the results simple for the first few games and help you get to grips with the game and the betting options. The important thing to remember is seven ends the game!
Slots
The simplest game with the highest edge, slots offer the maximum possible return with jackpots in the millions for a few dollars play but the odds are heavily stacked against you. You’re more likely to hit a few smaller pay lines than the big one itself but with modern graphics and cool mechanics, slots games can be tons of fun even without landing a big win! Though obviously that’s a major plus if you do hit the jackpot and leave a millionaire.
