Since the 2003 takeover of Chelsea from Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich they have gone from strength to strength. He has continued to invest in the club bringing in some of the top talents from world football. Through this they have continued to challenge for all major trophies and are the current champions of England.
The next big domestic test for the London club comes against Liverpool at the end of November. The Betfair football odds currently make Chelsea the 21/10 outsiders in the top of the table clash. This comes as no surprise as the blues have failed to beat Liverpool since back in November of 2014 which they won 2-1. Since then they have played seven times with Liverpool winning on two occasions and the other five being draws.
Both teams are currently sitting on the edge of the Champions league places so it is a vital game even early on for both clubs. Chelsea are currently in 4th spot with 22 points with Liverpool just behind in 5th spot with 19 points. Both teams cannot afford to drop any more points as they seek to challenge for the title as Manchester City continue to dominate.
