It’s amazing how quickly the new season comes around. Just a few weeks before Liverpool kick off their Premier League campaign at Anfield against the newly promoted Norwich City. Can the Reds mount another serious title challenge? Or will Pep Guardiola’s side continue to dominate and claim a first success Premier League crown?
At this stage of the summer, transfer gossip is another headline creator with speculation surrounding where some of the World’s biggest players will be heading and who the top clubs are trying to sign.
In this post, we take a look at few of the most popular bets ahead of the new season. Source: Oddschecker.com
Tottenham to win the Premier League – 22/1
Spurs have already splashed the cash this summer and there are reports they will invest another £80 million in the next week to bring Sessegnon and Lo Celso to the club. This seems to have sparked some interest in the Premier League market with punters keen to snap up odds of over 20/1.
What could be important here is that most bookmakers are only willing to offer around the 16/1 mark but Black Type are happy to lay Spurs by offering a bigger price of 22/1. Getting the best odds and following football betting tips are two key ingredients to beating the bookies and making a long term profit.
Fulham to win the Championship – 15/2
Fulham have been well backed ahead of the new Championship season having kept hold of much of their squad from the last campaign. They are giving the highly respected Scott Parker a chance to prove himself in the Craven Cottage hot seat. They were hugely impressive the last time they climbed out of this division but they will need to avoid their bad habit of making a slow start to the season if they are to compete for the title.
Harry Maguire to be at Man United after the summer transfer window – 1/7
If the odds on offer are anything to go by then this appears to be a done deal. Mourinho was keen on Maguire 12 months ago after the Leicester centre back was hugely impressive in England’s run to the semi-finals of the World Cup in Russia.
A figure of around £80 million has been banded around in the media but it’s yet to be seen if United are willing to pay that asking fee. A deal looks likely but there might be some hard negotiating going on.
Gareth Bale to any Chinese Club – 1/3
This really is ludicrous money being touted for the transfer of Gareth Bale to the Chinese Super League. It is reported the 30-year-old Welsh star will earn up to £1 million pounds per week if he makes the move to Asia. It would be a shame and again highlight that money talks rather than players actually wanted to push themselves and achieve the best from their careers. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out and whether Bale does, in fact, make the move.
