I really thought it was going to be easier than this. Follow the best tipsters and beat the bookmakers, comfortably.
I’m following some of the best tipsters around and I am beating the bookmakers. But not by much. A ROI of 2.68% after 4041 bets. That’s a lot of work for not a great deal of return.
What are my findings to date? Well first and foremost I have changed my targets. I now believe the best I can hope for is a long term ROI of 5%.
The plan is to follow tipsters who promote a ROI of 10% or more. Taking into account the problems I’m likely to occur with odds availability then I should be able to make a 5% ROI from those guys. If I can’t or I predict it won’t happen, then I will stop following.
Golf has been my biggest downfall to date and the one sport I thought would really see my profit soar. That was the case at first but it’s gone quite horribly wrong.
Golf Betting Club who have kindly given me access to their Premium Channel are on a poor run. It’s still a small sample but I’ve got a -21.4% ROI after 263 bets now, so that’s cost me a fair few quid.
Ben Coley landed a massive 80/1 winner at the weekend but even with that I’ve still lost money following his tips (-1.1% ROI).
Matt Vincenzi made a sensational start but I made the mistake of increasing my stakes and have not seen a winner since. Still a 17.6% ROI is excellent, but a winner is needed soon to ensure that doesn’t evaporate.

The football season has just kicked off and a few new tipsters I’ve added to my list. SPTips has always been a brilliant tipster and I’m delighted to be following. I’ve had a very good start following his tips with a 60% ROI after 11 bets.
Profit Tips is another I joined at the weekend and he landed 10 winners in 11 tips. Wow! That’s an amazing start and I’m keen to keep following.
Norseman (13.5% ROI), Rushy (20.5%), Sam Ingram (27.1%) and Tipster Wizard (22.3%) have all bought me success so far. I’ve started following Vince too and will continue to follow his player bets, but the +EV tipsters are just not for me.
That’s why I’ve stopped following MW Value Bets as well. My sample size of 182 bets is too low to provide a fair assessment of the service but the shear volume of tips from these guys is just too much for my own betting habits. Hence why I have stopped following.
What I really need is a couple of good weeks on the golf (he says after landing an 80/1 winner) to get me back on track and get that ROI back around the 5% mark.
Good luck to everyone with your own betting and to all the tipsters featured on this website.
