3.28% ROI after 5,848 bets. Meh!
At least I’ve not lost money I guess?
It makes for slightly better reading when I just focus on the 15 tipsters currently in my own portfolio. My combined profit following them is +119.46.
Of those 15 tipsters, 4 stand out and if this project continues I’m convinced they will still be on my tipster list this time next year.
The brilliant Ben Coley tops my list with +34.74pts of profit and a 19.31% ROI. Gutted he’s taken a few weeks off. But I think he deserves it.
Profit Tips continues to impress and I’ve just taken the leap of faith to increase my stakes. I rarely do that. But with a 12.15% ROI after 200+ tips I’m happy to take that gamble.
Matt Vincenzi has made me +14pts of profit and a ROI of 20.51%. Such has been his success in recent years I find it unfathomable that I won’t land a profit following his selections.
And finally SPTips. I’ve been backing his paid and free selections and have landed +10.82pts profit with a 20.2% ROI. He’s proven time and time again his strategy works and I’ll keep following all the time it returns me over 5% ROI.
That’s a small list. 4 tipsters. But I’m sure with time that will grow and some of the others who I am currently following will continue to return me a profit.
I started following a few additional golf tipsters last week including Steve Rawlings. He landed Morikawa in the Zozo Championship and so I now have a 12.1% ROI following his tips. But I’m not sure I can continue.
Steve doesn’t recommended stakes. He says things like a “small bet” on….. in his previews and as punters we are left guessing how much we should wager. It’s possible that without recommended stakes, we as punters could lose money following profitable tipsters.
I have approached Steve to ask him if he could simple let us know how much he’s betting. He backs all of his own tips so it shouldn’t be a problem. If he doesn’t I’ll probably have to stop in truth, which is a shame as I’m sure he’d win me money in the long run. Come on Steve, do the right thing.
It’s been a disappointing spell for DSSnooker and UKRB, but I’m hopeful both will be long term tipsters in my portfolio and they can bounce back with some stronger results.
It was also a poor weekend for Sam Ingram and Vince Player Bets.
The other golf tipsters I’ve started following including Ginger Joe, Form Golfer and Steve Palmer, all 3 drew a blank last week.
Now is the time just to stay patient. One big winner and a hot streak can change everything. Believe in the process and trust the tipsters I’m currently following. If they fail to deliver I can always switch them out.
I’ve been working on ranking all the tipsters I’ve currently added to the site by adding a new points system. This ranks tipsters out of 100. The most heavily weighted stat is profitability making up 40% of the overall score.
That’s followed by punter reviews (25%). Odds Availability, longevity and affordability all account for 10%, whilst previews make up 5%.
I’ll soon be listing tipsters based on those rankings, rather than purely reviews as I realise they are not always reliable.
