I’m in a bad mood! Paypal is being a dick and it’s upset me. Then I got even more riled when a golf tipster had 1 selection from the John Deere Classic and finished his preview with the “odds are fair”.
Fair? Fucking fair?
Why are you tipping him if the odds are fair?
If the odds are wrong then tip him.
If the odds are value, tip him.
If the odds are good, tip him.
But the odds are fair. Don’t put him up. That’s not how it works! Is it?
Rant over.
I don’t like sharing the stats of tipsters that are struggling, but I know anyone who still reads this feature and follows my progress wants to know. If you follow 30 tipsters, some of them won’t make you a profit. That’s proven the case for me.
Please bear in mind these are still small samples. I’m not judging these tipsters based on these stats but just highlighting that they’ve not proved profitable for me as of yet.
Starting near the top of my list, Steve Ryder. One of the horse racing tipsters for Oddschecker. He’s showing +97.66pts profit in 2023 on the App. When I started following several months ago that was in the +70 region.
So I’m not quite sure, other than the fact I must have missed a few winners, that he’s been profitable but I’ve lost following his tips. 180 bets in and a ROI of -3.5%. My advice would be not to follow just yet.
I have to go down to the 8th name on my list to find ProPunter who I stopped following yesterday. I had a -19.7% ROI after 110 bets and just received that intel (I sound like the FBI) into his methods which I wasn’t a fan of. I wish him every success, he seems like a nice enough chap.
Tennis Pilot who I’ve known for many years and have a lot of respect for. I listened to their interview on Smart Betting Club and was really intrigued by what was said. But now I have my doubts.
Their ROI in the last 12 months is 5.31% from 554 bets. I struggle to match the odds they post as the availability isn’t great. If they are only hitting 5% at their prices I’m not going to be profitable.
I’ll stick it out to 100 bets and post a review but with a -26.4% ROI after 69 bets I’m pretty sure I won’t carry on after that. Sorry guys.
I’ve just started following Daryl Carter after the big news he’s now switched the Betfair. 49 bets have left me with a -8.8% ROI. Odds availability is a huge issue and why I stopped following. But I’ll see how I get on and at least get to 100 bets and consider my options.
Ed Hawkins who has excellent stats year after year with Betfair has had a poor start to the Ashes. 28 bets in and a -4% ROI.
GoStatman is a new racing tipster I added to my list. 22 bets in, 2 winners and a -42.9% ROI. Ouch! I like his approach though so fingers crossed the results improve.
Illicit is a hugely popular tennis tipster who recently reeled off 10 free winning tips in a row. But due to his popularity matching his odds is almost impossible and it’s left me with a -19.7% ROI after 18 bets. A very low sample though.
Last on the list, Steve Rawlings. I’ve only been following his outright tips, not the Find me a 100 Winner (which have been doing great 🙈, but I can’t be asked to back, lay and lay again, I’m not sure bettin.gs could cope with that type of bet). 17 bets and a -81.8% ROI. Early days though. The main worry being he’s the culprit of the term “fair odds”. I’m worried.
Thanks for reading. If you know of any tipsters I should be following then please let me know.
