The start of another week and the grind continues. It felt like that this morning as I spent over an hour updating the results from the weekend.
At the end my profit had increased from +110.5pts to +110.6pts. Profit is profit I guess.
It could have been a shit storm as the Scottish Open was pretty much a disaster apart from a few each way pennies landing in my piggy bank.
I was saved by Vincent Normann winning a playoff in the Barbasol Championship. I was actually routing for Trevor Cone as that would have been my biggest payout after Coley put him up at three figures.
I’ll do a more detailed report on the golf tipsters ahead of this weeks Open Championship but what I will say is I chose a very good week to start following Racing Post legend Steve Palmer.
I’ve never really followed his tips. I always listen to the Sweet Spot as I find it very entertaining but rarely have I invested my own money in Steve’s selections.

It was more out of interest than confidence to start following and this week it proved a good decision as he too backed Normann to win his maiden PGA Tour title.
I was on the brink of ditching Mark Ledsham but he was the other tipster who put up the Swede and having reached the 250 tip point and still netting a ROI of over 10% I’m committed to keep following him until 500 bets, although stakes will remain the same, very low.
Go Collect is another tipster I started following this week as he’s produced some excellent results in the past. He now appears to be trying his luck on greyhounds and US horse racing.
In the past Go Collect pops up on Twitter for a while and then takes an extended break. It’s a shame as I’m convinced he has the knowledge to eventually run his own paid service should he commit more time to his tipping.
The new feature Bet of the Day has made a great start with the Ryan Fox Top 20 selection cashing. An early 59.3% ROI is clearly unsustainable but it’s nice to make a good start.
Good Luck with your betting this week. I’ll be back later with some tips on who to follow in the Open Championship and a tipster review update for Mark Ledsham.
