From +115pts right down to +37pts. That’s my current profit with a ROI of 2.5%. I’m following some of the best tipsters online. I’m a little rattled in truth. I didn’t expect a losing run quite this bad.
So what’s going on? I’m guessing you want to know which tipsters are letting me down?
This isn’t me being critical, this is again a very small sample and you’re better off visiting the tipsters profile page to get a better understanding of how good these tipsters are.
I just have to trust that it will change and I’ll get back to winning money again. Right now though it just feels like a matter of time before all my profit has been wiped out.
So I’ll creep down my tipster list and pinpoint where it’s going wrong. I’ve stopped following Steve Ryder now. I feel like 250 tips was a fair trial and with a loss of -4.5pts (£45) I’m not willing to commit to another 250 bets.
Golf Betting Club who have kindly offered me a free trial are struggling. I probably would be in profit but for the fact I increased my stakes after 100 bets. I’m only down -2.4pts and I will definitely be sticking with these guys for the long haul. So no need to panic.
The biggest disappoint from my own betting perspective has been Ben Coley. I’ve clearly started following at just the wrong time and it’s cost me over £150 to date and I only bet £2.50 per point. Anyone starting at the same time as me and betting as little as £10 per point could be over £600 down. That’s a lot of money to lose and it’s important to understand how even the best tipsters have poor runs.
I’m not going anywhere though. I have to put faith in previous results and trust that Ben Coley will make a profit in the long run. At the very least I’ll be pushing on to 500 bets (currently at 211).
I’ve made a small loss to date following Daryl Carter (-2pts). This has to change doesn’t it? SBC voted him the best free horse racing tipsters for the past 2 years. If I can’t make a profit following the best, then what chance do I have?
I had a poor run following Tennis Pilot losing -8pts and I’ve stopped now as their results for the past year have been disappointing.
I had a great start following MWValueBets but he had a poor July and I’ve suffered a small hit of -2pts. Again historical statistics suggest this should change and my sample of just 76 bets is still very small. With it being the first weekend of the new football season there are a lot of bets to be settled in the next few days.
Steve Rawlings and Ed Hawkins are two I’ve added to the scrapheap. Both excellent tipsters who I’m sure in the long run would win most punters money. But I was £100 down following the pair and just decided that was enough.
That’s where it’s going wrong. It’s just a cumulative effect. Add into the mix tipsters like Tennis Masterr, Tom Collins, Matt Brocklebank and RobTheBookiesFC who have all won me money, but gone backwards in recent weeks and you end up with a pretty downward looking profit chart.
Sorry to sound so glum, but I’ll be the first one to promote tipsters when they are winning, but it’s also important to share the truth and realisation that this ain’t easy.
