My gambling over the past 7-8 months can best be described as arduous. A high volume of bets, hours and hours of tracking and a ROI of around 3%. It wasn’t much fun.
Yet 3 days into this current plot of mine and it’s the complete opposite. Exciting is the best word I can now think of. On Tuesday I followed the advice of Jimmy the Punt and backed Hwang to get on the scoresheet against Burnley. WIN.
I banked my stake and yesterday invested £26 on Aston Villa to avoid defeat against Manchester City on the advice of Jake Osgathorpe. That was never in doubt in a one sided contest in which Villa probably should have won by more. WIN.
So I’ve placed two bets in the last two days, require very little time and almost zero tracking. The result now I have over £50 to gamble with today.
With my initial stake banked and an additional £8 kept aside from yesterdays winner, whatever happens today I’ll still be showing a profit across the past 3 days.

Obviously I realise losing streaks will follow but this is all about having fun for me and boy is it getting exciting very quickly. I done exactly what I did the past two days and spent 15-20 minutes reading betting tips on today’s Premier League games to find what I think is the best value selection.
I’ve gone for Anthony Gordon to be booked at 7/2. Tipped by Jimmy the Punt, again. I’ve bet £50.
Gordon is up against his former club and could get some grief from the home side. He’s started 12 Premier League games this season and be carded in 6 of them.
The referee is Tim Robinson who has dished out 39 cards in 8 games at an average of 4.875.
Add into the equation Newcastle injury problems and the likelihood is that Gordon will play the vast majority of this game, if not the whole 90 mins. Plus the fatigue these players are likely to be suffering can only add to the chances of mistimed tackle.
This is a great market to find value. SkyBet are offering 4.5 (7/2). The average price among the bookmakers on the oddschecker grid is 3.5, with Star Sports offering just 2.4.
