I love a good podcast! When it comes to who cooks the dinner in my household, 90% of the time I offer, simply so I can get some alone time to listen to Mark O’Haire churn out stats for the weekends big games, and Scottish League Two.
Sadly I can only draw out the time it takes to cook a pesto pasta for so long & so I’ve limited my choice of betting shows to 5. I can just about squeeze these into my weekly schedule.
So below I’ve listed by favourite 5 betting podcasts. It’s purely my opinion and based on the enjoyment and information that I acquire from these shows. Check them out or even add a few of your recommendations by using the comments below.
1.Betfair – Football Only Bettor
Top of my list without any doubt is Betfair’s Football Only Bettor podcast. In terms of insight you have a stellar team of pundits including the above mentioned Mark Haire, infogols Jake Osgathorpe, trader Emmet O’keefe and Mark Stinchombe on standby. What makes this podcast top my charts is the brilliant presenter Kevin Hatchard. Just give it a listen.
2. Racing Post – The Sweet Spot
Everyone is a golf tipster these days, but no-one produces a podcast as entertaining as Bruce Millington and Steve Palmer. It’s laugh out load stuff and regardless if you choose to follow Steve’s picks over the countless other “experts” this is always worth a listen on a Tuesday lunchtime. Just be prepared to turn your volume down when the “FOOOOOOOORRREEEEE” shout booms through the microphone.
3. Matchbook Insights
A somewhat more serious show and picks are limited due to the markets on offer at Matchbook exchange. You may also find some stats repeated if you’ve listened to Betfair already as Mark O’Haire makes another appearance here. Still a very informative show and right up there with my favourites.
4. Betfair – Cricket Only Bettor
Another Betfair production. I’ll be honest it’s been a while since I listened to this show but they made me a shit load of cash during the T20 World Cup last year. A team consisting of Ed Hawkins, Paul Krishnamurty, Richard Mann and Sam Collins certainly know their cricket and the analysis & stats offered up are superb.
5. Action Network – Wondergoal
If it’s roast dinner rather than pasta I might find the time to add Wondergoal to my weekend playlist. BJ Cunningham, Anthony Dabbundo and Michael Leboff team up for some excellent insight. They take a statistical approach that is unrivalled in my opinion and often throws up some surprise picks. They first came to my attention when landing a 200/1 accumulator which featured Brentford’s win at the Etihad prior to the World Cup.
