Rinse and repeat! I think it’s one of my favourite sayings. It certainly applies to gambling. Find a market/team or player offering value and just keep hammering it.

I’m just going to copy and paste what I wrote last week….this relates to Ed Hawkins and his comment on the Betfair Podcast.

At the time the podcast went out, Betfair Sportsbook were offering 9/2. Ed’s comment relating to those odds were “totally wrong price”. He also stated Erasmus has a tremendous win rate in this market, over 30% across the past 3 years.

I managed to snap up 15/2 offered by Denise. Bonkers. The bet landed and I even went as far as saying it was the Best Bet I ever made. I still think it might be.

Next up for Namibia is Australia and whilst the tougher opponents might reduce our chances (he might bowl less overs due to the game state), I’m not going to ignore odds of 6/1.

Erasmus has been the top Namibia Bowler in 7 of their last 18 T20 internationals. That’s a 35% win rate. Convert that into decimal odds and it’s 2.86.

No wonder Ed said what he did about the odds.

Erasmus has actually taken 2 wickets in 5 of his last 7 T20 matches. Such could be the dominance of Australia here, and the fact Erasmus has a good economy rate, 2, perhaps even 1 wicket might be all it takes.
