Having backed Phil Foden in the SkyBet Super Boost it was a frustrating watch as my dad had targeting him as the player “not good enough to be in the side”.
My dad always picks one and then spends the 90 minutes bombarding him with criticism as if he’s the worst player in the World. Bear in mind Foden won the Premier League Player of the Year Award this season. Clearly my dad didn’t have a say in that vote.
“What are you doing there Foden”!!
“Get Foden out of the team”!!
“It always break down when it gets to Foden”!!
“That’s the worse pass I’ve ever seen, who was that? Oh Foden, what a surprise”!!
I’m blaming my dad for Foden not registering a shot on target so apologies to everyone who backed that Super Boost yesterday!

Luckily England held on for a nervous 1-0 win and whilst Rizwan failed to deliver, it was a frustrating afternoon/evening for the Best Bets Feature. I’m just glad I hadn’t backed Rory.
Onto today’s bets. I’m keeping it fairly simple and with an investment already in Afghanistan trumping West Indies in the T20 World Cup, I wanted to swerve the cricket and focus on the football.
I’m keeping it simple and actually changed my strategy here. I don’t feel like either of these bets offer huge value, so I’ve reduced my stakes and also combined the two into a double for a bit more fun.
Anthony Eadson and Ian Nicholas Quillen are both confident Lukaka can get himself on the scoresheet against Slovakia. Lukaku scored 14 goals in qualifying, more than any other player. He netted in 7 of the 8 group matches.
It takes his tally to 85 goals in 115 international appearances for Belgium. With De Bruyne, Doku and Trossard to supply the threw balls and crosses you have to imagine he’ll get plenty of opportunities against weak opposition.
The final game of the day says France take on the much fancied underdogs Austria. With Rangnick expected to adopt a high press, the pace of Mbappe could do some serious damage in behind.
Jimmy the Punt has this as a confident selection in his Sporting Life post claiming “the price is simply too big”. Tom Winch made almost the exact same claim in his Betting Odds article writing “The price looks big and one I can’t overlook.”.
These two tipsters are betting judges than mine so I’m happy to be involved. After all Mbappe is one of the best players in the World and scored 1.13 goals per 90 minutes in Ligue this season.
Whilst he’s yet to make an impact in the Euro’s in his career his record of 12 goals in 14 World Cup appearances makes for impressive reading.
Please always gamble responsibly and only bet what you can afford to lose.
