She’s lured me in again. I’m talking about Dee and her tantalising Super Boosts. During the Euro’s I was counting my cash at first only for it all to go tits up.

But with so few betting opportunities right now I’m not going to refuse, what appears to be an extremely generous offer from Glorious Goodwood this afternoon.

I’ve got £22.50 to play with after back to back winners on the Hundred. Naturally I was tempted to invest that back into the same competition with Oval Invincibles taking on Northern Superchargers. Crikey for a moment I’ve even considered that 9.5 being offered on Ben Stokes to return and top score for his side.

That was a selection put up by Richard Mann from SportingLife. It looks a decent price, but not the sort of bet suitable for a rolling accumulator. I need a higher win rate for this approach to prove fruitful.

So I’m ignoring the cricket and putting faith that the Super Boost is not another Dee masterclass to line her pockets from her gullible disciples.

Such an interesting superboost today, Super Superjack to be in the top 8, can’t think of the last time I saw one like this.

He’s currently second in the market at 6/1 and finished second in this race 2 years ago off 2lb higher.

I’ve not even mentioned the bet yet. It comes from the 13:50, so apologies for the timing. We need the favourite Super Superjack to finish in the Top 8. If a horse with that name doesn’t finish in the Top 8 then what hope do any of us have as punters?

Architect Tips who writes for Oddschecker has tipped this horse to win the race, so I found so good reasoning why this is worth my investment. 2 years ago Superjack (I’ve given him a nickname), finished 2nd in the race and probably would have won with a clear passage to the line.

Recent form includes a promising 4th at Nottingham and he would have been trained with this race in mind. The ground looks right and with Tom Marquand in the saddle after his double yesterday, everything points towards a Top 8 finish (jinx).

I’ll probably be on my lunch break during this race, so will return to watch the highlights, hold my breath and hope my winning streak (of 2 bets) extends further and gives me an exciting return of £45, which could be fun to gamble with tomorrow.
