Well this is going well. Another winner yesterday. Cheers Andy. 24 bets placed, a profit of £83.94 and a ROI of 58.19%. Have some of that dickheads (referencing the bookmakers, not you readers).
My latest “best bet” sums up all that is bad with the gambling industry right now. I was tempted by Rashid to be Top England Bowler against Australia tonight, available at 10/3.
But upon visiting oddschecker it turns out the only player in the market they are bothering comparing is Sam Curran. Why only compare one player? This is supposed to be the Number One Odds Comparison site? England v Australia in the T20 World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events of the day. Top Bowler is one of the biggest markets. Why don’t they give a shit?
Rant over. For now.
So instead I’ve opted to wait patiently until Pakistan are back in action, looking to make amends for their shock defeat to co-hosts USA. I don’t care if they win or not, so long as Rizwan shows up and puts in a decent innings.
He’s winning the Top Pakistan Batsman market over 40% of the time across the last 2 years. That would be odds of 2.5. So why are Unibet (Kambi) offering 3/1? The price is wrong. It’s like being offered 2/1 on the toss of coin.
It’s official now,
Saim Ayub and Muhammad Rizwan will open the Innings for Pakistan tomorrow against India. pic.twitter.com/unIWlTwBZ5— Rizvi Tweets 🇵🇰🇮🇹 (@Shah_Rizvi97) June 8, 2024
Firms like Unibet who employ Kambi to price their markets can get away with offering stupid odds like this, simply by restricting the stake we can place as punters. So no longer do they have to bother about actually doing any homework of getting their prices right, they just refuse bets. It’s bollocks!
If you’re not going to accept a reasonable bet, then don’t offer the market in the first place. 3/1 is available at Unibet. My maximum stake is £7.09, on a 3/1 shot? Why .09p?? I don’t know. I’ve split my stake using two different bookmakers which seems to be the norm these days.
Rant over.
So let’s discuss Rizwan. Not only does he win this market over 40% of the time, but in 4 appearances against India at T20, he’s been the Top Pakistan batsman 3 times. 75%!! I wonder if Kambi Sports knew that? I doubt it.
So many tipsters find value in a market and hammer it, time and time again. You don’t need to be an expert. Find the value and keep backing it. Rizwan won me a lot of money in the last World Cup and whilst there’s never any guarantees it’s clear these odds are wrong.
If you keep backing players at the wrong prices then you’ll eventually get lucky.
I haven’t found a tipster posting this selection which I find crazy but credit to Ed Hawkins who provides the win rates in these Top Batsman/Bowler markets on the Betfair Podcast.
Bet: Rizwan to be Top Pakistan Batsman v India – 1.4pts – 3.85
