I get it. These posts are becoming a bit boring now. Why not just say back the boost every day? Well hopefully my approach is highlighting the importance of finding value. Sometimes less is more, and that can apply to gambling too.
These Super Boosts that are being offered in the early stages of the tournament are absolute gold dust. Especially when they keep landing. Dee must be tearing her hair out, which isn’t good given how she likes to wear it short.
The main lesson is when value is being served up on a plate like this, you don’t need to be placing shit loads of bets or following loads of tipsters. As brilliant as some of the tipsters featured on this site are, finding a selection at odds of 2.1 (11/10) that should be priced at 1.67 (4/6) can at times be impossible. That’s what today’s Boost is offering.
What we do need to be careful with is that the likelihood is, as the tournament wears on, the value offered will become smaller and smaller. Dee’s plan is to hook us in and get us betting every day. Don’t make that mistake.
What I did today was go and compare the prices at other bookmakers. See what they were offering to find out if the original advertised price of 1.61 was in fact correct. Remember yesterday SkyBet tried to bullshit us that their price boost should have been odds of 2.5, yet another bookmaker, without any enhancement were offering 3.25.
I managed to find a few bookies offering the same market as Dee (Ukraine and Slovakia both to have Over 2.5 Shots on Target). The prices quoted were 1.57, 1.72 and 1.78. So perhaps the original 1.61 was a big sneaky, but it still seems we have some decent value here and it’s worth getting involved again.
Who wins Euro 2024 then? I gathered the views of the sharpest minds @SkySportsPL & @SkyBet to see if there was a clear standout.
I ended up going lone wolf, ignoring them & just backed value loser Austria at 80/1.
Decent read this

I’ve actually placed a second bet today. I keep reading and hearing how good Austria are. Lewis Jones is very excited about their odds and he’s one of my go to tipsters right now. They’ve been excellent since Rangnick took charge and their high press will make them tough opponents for any side in this competition.
They put in a decent performance against France and are well fancied to turn over Poland today. Austria came into this tournament with 12 wins and 3 draws from their previous 16 international matches.
There have been some eye catching results of late. 6-1 v Turkey, 2-0 v Germany and 2-0 v Italy. I’ve kept my stakes low and taken the Each Way option with SpreadEx offering the biggest price I could find of 80/1.
Last year I was placing 30-40 bets a day, following up to 25 tipsters at once. It was stressful, time consuming. I gave up after about 6 months with 70pts of profit and a ROI around 7%.
I’m 6 weeks into my latest “Best Bets” venture. I’m +20pts in profit and my ROI is 53.71%. I’ve only placed 42 bets, an average of 1 a day. I’m committing very little time and head space to this and it’s far more enjoyable. Are you taking the right approach to your gambling? Something to consider. Although bear in mind that my sample size is ridiculously small and my ROI is clearly unsustainable in the long run. But I’m still confident it’s the right approach for me.
Having listened to the excellent Betfair Podcast I’ve added a 3rd bet. It’s for Dumfries and Hernandez both to be carded. The two play for Milan rivals and a real hatred has developed between the two players. Thus making odds of 22/1 look great. Mark O’Haire put this up at 18/1 and was very excited about it, so to get a bigger price (Kambi Sports) I’m very happy.
Bet: Ukraine v Slovakia – Both Teams Over 2.5 Shots on Target – 2pts @ 2.1
Bet: Austria in Euro 2024 – 0.25pts EW @ 81.0
Additional Bet: Dumfries & Hernandez to be Carded – 0.48pts @ 23.0
