Still fuming at that result yesterday. Why does it feel so more frustrating when a Super Boost loses? You almost feel like you’ve been robbed, tricked into backing something that was never going to win.
I would have had no interest in that race had it not been for that Super Boost on Super Superjack the super shit horse. Sorry jack, it’s not personal.
So back to square one. At least it means I can back this absolutely beautiful price on the cricket this evening. Had yesterdays bet won I would have been seeking a wager at much lower odds.
I’m following the advice of Richard Mann from SportingLife here. To be fair all of the tipsters on the Betfair Cricket only Bettor podcast were raving about this same bet in the Welsh Fire’s previous contest.
The bet? Glen Phillips to be Top Welsh Fire batsman against Trent Rockets in the second of two fixtures today from The Hundred.
Growing in Confidence 💪🧡

We are getting odds of 12/1 from Victor. Are you still alive Victor? It would appear so. 73 and still going strong. Thanks for getting tax on bets abolished. What a legend.
Phillips is the best batsman in this Welsh Fire team (according to the Betfair podcast experts, I’ve no idea what I’m talking about when it comes to cricket). The problem is he’s often used lower down the order.
But Richard Mann says this may change today with the Welsh Fire top order misfiring, so surely they have to give Phillips more time at the crease to change their fortunes.
His scores so far in this competition are 11 – Didn’t bat – 0. So that’s why we are getting this lofty price. But if you look back at his recent T20 matches he’s actually top scored in 3 of his last 10.
They came in Sri Lanka and for those sides he was getting more opportunity, higher up the order. So fingers crossed, for our sake, that Phillips gets nudged up to 4 in the lineup. If that happens 12/1 is completely wrong.
The average price from bookmakers on the oddschecker grid is just 7.2. So 13.0 looks huge! Take it.
Bet: Glen Phillips Top Welsh Fire Batsman v Trent Rockets – 0.5pts @ 13.0
