So after 5 months of not having a bet (ok 1 wager), I started with a winner, and that means the fire in my belly is back. I’m buzzing. I feel alive. I’ve missed that feeling.
My gambling kitty was boosted by some season long bets winning at the weekend and I intend to use that money to see if I can beat the bookmakers.
I have a strategy. Start with £50 and place 10% of my pot on every bet. I know. This could end as a disaster as a losing streak could quickly damage my betting balance. But you know what. I want to have fun. Tracking 30 bets a day became a chore. So a maximum of one bet a day it is. Sometimes zero.
With yesterday bet winning my pot has risen to £57.50, so I’ve invested £5.75 on Cameron Young to finish in the Top 10 of the Wells Fargo Championship.
The two top rated golf tipsters here at Betting Kingdom have both selected Young this week and I’m keen to get involved. His inability to get across the finish line has left be opting for a safer market and I think there’s better value in truth.
Insane hook by Cameron Young!

The average odds across the bookies on the grid is 3.38. Yet one bookmaker are waving 4.35 around. I’ll have some of that. Ta very much. So why has Young been selected this week?
Well Quail Hollow is a tough test, almost akin to a Major Championship and Cameron Young has produced some of his best golf in Majors in recent years.
In fact in his last 8 Major Championships, Cameron Young has posted 5 Top 10 finishes.
His form this season has been very strong as well with a 50% strike rate in this market. He was T9 at the Masters a few weeks back and runner up at the Valspar.
He’s only played Quail Hollow once before and was T59 last year on his debut. But this course should suit his long and straight driving.
Matt Vincenzi also highlights the important of long irons and suggests the stat to focus on is from 175 – 200 yards from the pin. Who tops that stat across the last 24 rounds? Cameron Young, that’s who.
He also played his College Golf just an hour away so it’s an familiar part of the World for the winless American. Whilst Coley and Vincenzi would be disappointed if that drought continued I’d be more than happy with a Top 10 finish.
Tip: Cameron Young to Finish in the Top 10 of the Wells Fargo Championship – 0.575pts @ 4.35
