Finally a winner. How I’m feeling right now reminds me of a football song, blasted out away to Dover in the FA Trophy when Hastings United, dug deep for a 1-1 draw with only 10 men, and a brilliant penalty save from James Creed. “Let’s go fucking mental” and mental we did, jumping up and down and I think we even invaded the pitch. Totally irresponsible behaviour but pretty sure I was only 11 at the time, so cut me some slack.
So Stick or Twist? Well given yesterday’s winner only returned £9, it’s most definitely a Twist.
With the Euro’s taking a short break I’ve focused on Wimbledon and studying all the free tennis betting tips that have been shared for Day 3. I’ve not really found a tennis tipster I can trust right now, but there seems to be some consistency in the tips being posted.
The match of the day is World Number 1 Sinner v excellent grass courter and former Wimbledon runner up, Berrettini. The majority of tipsters agree that Sinner should come through this match but the big serving Italian can cause problems and win at least 1 set.
I was also keen on both players to serve 10+ aces in that match, tipped by Andy Schooler, but as is so often the case with his selections, the price has gone.
So my bet for today is Emma Navarro to beat Naomi Osaka. Ben Smith and Aaron Ashley are two tipsters who have posted this underdog selection. They work for the Paddy Power and Racing Post, so two pretty big sites.
Unreal from Emma Navarro to kick off the third set 😮#BHO24 pic.twitter.com/HfQYgxO3lQ

Osaka is a 4 time Grand Slam winner but has never produced her best tennis on the grass. In fact the 3rd Round is the furthest she has progress here at Wimbledon.
In her career to date she’s won 67% of hard court matches, dropping to just 57% on the grass. She’s come off a recent 15 month layoff having missed the whole of 2023 and her year to date record stands at 15-12.
In Round 1 she twice fell a break break behind to Parry in the final set and trailed 1-3, before coming through. Osaka only landed 47% of first serve and 34 winners, compared to 38 unforced errors.
In the first two Grand Slams of the season she has crashed out in Round 2 although to be fair gave Swiatek a run for her money at Roland Garros.
Narravo is ranked in the top 20 in the World Rankings. She’s having a really good season with a 36-15 record. He strong defence could prove a problem for the erratic Osaka.
She recently made the semi finals of Bad Homberg on grass and thrashed Wang 6-0 6-2 in the first round. This looks a good bet to me and I’m happy to invest my £9 at a best price of 2.23.
I’m actually quite excited to watch some of the tennis today. This match along with Sinner v Berrettini should both be very entertaining. Fingers crossed this time tomorrow I’ll be able to answer that question, stick or twist?
Good luck to anyone betting on the tennis today and please always gamble responsibly.
Bet: Navarro to beat Osaki – 0.9pts @ 2.23
