It was another tough weekend for golf tipsters and punters as 500/1 outsider Grayson Murray drained a beast of a putt to land the Sony Open.
To my knowledge and from the info shared from the excellent Golf Tips Checker, not a single tipster put up Murray to spring a surprise.
There were signs though that the new World Number 46 was a contender. Notably his two victories in his last 12 events on the Korn Ferry Tour with a further 3 top 10s thrown in during that spell.
What was missing was any course form at all with one missed cut from his only previous visit to the golf course I can never spell or pronounce.

It means for a 2nd week running it was the bookmakers that likely came out on top and left golf punters scratching their heads as to whether 2024 is the year that it finally goes wrong.
There was a far more predictable winner on the DP World Tour with Fleetwood taking the spoils in Dubai. Some might say it was gifted to him by some sloppy play from Mcilroy who will be left wondering how he didn’t walk away with the title.
Ben Coley was among several tipsters left bemused at how Rory let that one slip away. Despite his strong position towards the head of the market it seems the only tipster to bag the Fleetwood win was Bros and Birdies, a tipster I’ve yet to add to the BK rankings, watch this space.
I’ve been in the process of updating the golf tipster rankings with their profit & ROI from the 2023 season so hopefully that will be ready to go soon.
As for the week ahead it’s the American Express on the PGA Tour and the Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour. Make sure you check on the BK rankings to find the best golf tipsters to follow.
Hopefully the fortunes will change and this week it will the punters, and not the bookies celebrating a long putt holed on the final green.
