Beware, if a tipsters results get you very excited, do some more homework. Scammers exist. They falsify their results. They lie about winners, they delete losing bets, they tell you bullshit stories.
Anyone remember Betadvisors? This was a website which looked really professional and boasted hundreds of winning tipsters. It was very expensive to sign up as well, anywhere between £30 – £150 per month for a tipster.
The results were made up. Just read the Trust Pilot reviews and make your own mind up. It’s no surprise the website no longer exists, but it was online for a good 10 years to my knowledge and I’m sure a lot of punters were duped.
Type in the term “Golf Betting Tipster” into google. Click on the top listed site. Looks impressive right?
£12,400 profit already in 2023, £13,121 profit in 2022 (funny as last time I checked they only broke even last year). £12,000 profit in 2021, £12,000 profit in 2020 (only 5 outright winners). £12,000 profit in 2019.
So pretty much the exact same profit in each of the last 5 seasons??? That’s odd!
Check the “About Page”. This is a service which claims to have a member of their “small team” at every golf event. Fuck off!! How much is that going to cost? Do you think we are stupid?
Also claiming to have “inside the ropes contacts”. Bullshit again!
I’ve had dealings with the site before. It got a bit unpleasant, but it was proven the results were wrong, but they seemed to have changed them back to showing a big profit again.
At one stage their reviews page had 100s of comments from happy customers, all 5 stars! Not even a single 4 star rating. Hmmmmm….
This is the top rated page on google. The site looks professional. They even offer a free 30 day trial and I’m sure some punters are paying money for these tips.
I followed for a bit, he even tipped on my competition site several years ago. The tips are legit, but the results are falsified to encourage punters to sign up.
These are just a few examples. Twitter is riddled with tipsters like this, bullshitting their way to a large following, scamming honest folk.
Do your homework. If a tipster is promoting unrealistic ROI stats it’s more than likely they are not true. Find some reviews. Although just be wary there was once a tipster proofing site that turned out to be behind all the services he was tracking. Making up the stats for all of them. So again, be aware of the shit that goes on.
