Ben Smith is a free online darts betting tipster. Well he also tips on other sports like football & tennis, but with so few darts tipsters around I’ve lumped him in this category.

What do we know about Ben? Well he’s been in the industry since 2016 and studied sports journalism at Uni. Combined with his passion for betting it seems he’s landed himself some good gigs writing for the Paddy Power blog and betting.co.uk.

Ben’s bio on the latter does have some interesting quotes including “eye for value bets” and “my number one hobby and I am able to profit through it”. So should we be following Ben Smith’s darts betting tips?

Here lies the problem. When a site like Paddy Power hire a tipster like Ben, they want content, they want tips on every day of a tournament, sometimes every match. That’s actually the case on the day of adding this profile during the World Matchplay.

That leaves Ben is an almost impossible position when it comes to making a long term profit. His free tips at Paddy Power don’t include a staking plan and he’s always forced to take the price at one firm.
