Daryl Carter is clearly a very knowledgeable racing tipster but falls into the category of content creator having worked for GG.com and now the Betfair Blog for the past few years. They pay him to provide tips, every day. This brings with it some pressure for a tipster and also that lack of freedom to say “sorry folks, no value today”.
Daryl comes with a big reputation so I was keen to follow and over a decent sample size. I reached 250 bets (254) and my profit was just +0.14pts with a 0.17% ROI. That’s not a massive sample and there were times I missed a winner or two. Daryl likes to tip the day before races and that does create the problem that odds will be cut quickly sometimes.
I actually found odds availability wasn’t that much of an issue and at times I was able to get bigger prices elsewhere as Daryl is forced to use the odds of those that pay him for content. There’s a lot of hype around the winners on Twitter but the lack of results sheet or tracking is always the concern.
As with many of other content creator tipsters I’ve stopped following, Daryl sadly falls into that category now and it’s time to move on. I wish him every success and if he sets up a private group in future where he has that option to be more patient, then I would definitely be up for following again.
