The Brigadier is a free online horse racing betting tipster who shares his selections on the Punters Lounge forum.

I first stumbled on Steve Simmons, when he was nominated by the Smart Betting Club as the best free horse racing tipster in 2024. So I thought I would explore.

All of his tips are free and available with excellent previews and insight on the forum. He displays the odds, each way terms, bookmaker and uses a sensible staking plan.

He appears to have built up a very loyal following on that site and given the numbers of interactions he receives I can only assume that those on board are making a nice little profit from his racing tips.

That is an assumption however, as I’ve not been able to acquire a link to a results sheet or any profit or loss stats. Hopefully Steve does track his bets and the results will come to light in the future.

My inclination given the SBC nomination and the number of loyal followers on the forum is that you’d probably do pretty well following The Brigadier and his free racing tips.
